NATSILS National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Helpline Officer

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering the National Helpline component of the Your Story Disability Legal Support, specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The purpose of the role is assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons with disability, their families, carers and supporters to access and engage with the Disability Royal Commission and associated support services.

Our members have over 40 years’ experience in the provision of legal advice, assistance, representation, community legal education, advocacy, law reform activities and prisoner through-care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in contact with the justice system. We are the experts on justice issues affecting and concerning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
